Wear this up under a helmet, fold the hood down and wear this as a neck gaiter, bundle up for full coverage with up to the nose and down to the eyebrow protection, this now has more stretch, more warmth, more wicking, and more wind block in a still thin and flexible liner. To get the protection you need you don't need thick and fluffy gaiters that get in the way of zipping up your jacket (which rather defeat the design of "staying warm and covered") nor put up with thin liners that fit under your jacket and helmet but offer no wind protection to speak of.
